Natasha Wilkins

Postdoctoral Associate

Natasha Wilkins earned her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Carthage College (Kenosha, WI) in 2011 and her doctoral degree in Translational Neuroscience from University of Louisville (Louisville, KY) in 2024. She has over fifteen years of experience in academic research with a focus on neurotrauma. Natasha's doctoral work examined the efficacy of spinal cord epidural stimulation to treat urogenital dysfunction in the spinal cord injured rat. In the Grill lab, her work will focus on sacral nerve stimulation for bowel and urogenital dysfunction. Natasha aspires to obtain a position as research faculty at an institution with opportunities for bench to bedside research. Outside of her academic career, Natasha has competed as an amateur bodybuilder, has a long history as a trained ballet dancer, and lives a quiet life with her fiancé and cats.
