Edgar Peña earned his B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. He received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where he used computational models to optimize deep brain stimulation. His research at the Grill Lab uses computational models and in vivo experiments to develop novel approaches for nerve stimulation, nerve block, and nerve recordings.
