Deep Brain Stimulation
Derek Schulte graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke in 2013. For the next two years he researched the pathogenesis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis at the University of California, San Diego. Derek is currently enrolled in the Master's of Engineering program, with a concentration on neuroengineering, and is working with Christina Behrend to explore the relationship between the neural firing pattern changes and the symptoms of Parkinson's Disease.
